Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

He'll have to jump up pretty high to kick Obama's ass!

If he's even foolish enough to try to "kick his ass" he'll just end up embarrassing himself. Suposedly his goal tonight is to rattle Obama, to knock him out of his cool calmness. Ain't a gonna happen Johnny Boy. You already done had your ass kicked, but you're only now beginning to realize it.

I agree, any attempts to look tough will hurt Mc Cain he becomes more unlikable with every snarky, racist comment his supporters scream out at his rallies. He is also known for his bad temper and I think after his " that one" comment in the last debate democratic viewers ears will be perked in anticipation or any perceived slight. On the flip side it will play well for all of the people who agree with some of the things that Mc Cain supporters have been bellowing but there support hurts more than it helps. When Mc Cain tries to energize his (well Palin's) conservative base he alienates moderates, Independents, and undecideds three groups who are extra important in this election.

At least he didn't said that it was round, firm like a ripe apple that needs a good spanking.

Okay seriously McCain is a demented old man who is losing so bad in almost every state that he has to resort to race baiting and character assassination because he can't run on his record or ideas.

It is sad to see our elections brought down to this level.

LOL! Every time I've read the title to this article I was thinking something along that line. I was thinking McCain is going to shock everyone and come out of the closet.

I thought I heard someone say his grandmother said that McCain said that Obama's ass is too skinny. Better than McCain and Palin though - they're *all* ass

Attacking Senator Obama on character this late in the election cycle only works against Senator McCain. If he was going to use attacks, they should have started the day Senator Obama won the nomination, not when the country has multiple crisis' to deal with.

Senator McCain has a choice: look towards his legacy, his continuing in the Senate and what he can do to start building bridges now, or focus attacks on Senator Obama which speaks to a choir of people already supporting Senator McCain. No gain in attacking Senator Obama, only downside.

I don't think this was a good idea. The odds are heavily against Sen. McCain having a blowout debate performance tonight. Setting the bar this high for himself means a harder fall if he does anything less than "kick his ass."

McCain/Palin are no match mentally for Obama/Biden, so McCain must have meant it literally... in which case, he's still gonna lose big time!

Wouldn't McCain rather do that in the place many Republicans go, a Minneapolis airport bathroom?  Oh, KICK his ass!  Never mind.

Inadvertently, John McCain brought back memories of George H.W. Bush over the weekend, when in an unusual bit of pre-debate bluster he pledged to “whip” Barack Obama’s “you-know-what” when they face off on Wednesday.

That called to mind Bush’s unhelpful boast to a group of New Jersey longshoremen that “we tried to kick a little ass last night” the morning after his 1984 vice presidential debate with Geraldine Ferraro.

But actually, it’s another Bush campaign – his doomed re-election effort in 1992 – that more closely parallels the predicament McCain faces as he prepares for the third and final debate, just 20 days before the election.

Like McCain, Bush was matched in ’92 against a much younger and more charismatic opponent (Bill Clinton was 22 years Bush’s junior, while Obama is 25 years younger than McCain) and burdened with a feeble economy that defined the campaign and for which most voters blamed his party.

What a class act Obama is.  McCain cannot keep eye contact with Obama for more than a few seconds.

If you know anything about eye contact you know that liars and someone that is hiding something cannot keep good eye contact.

He's constantly straining to keep his eyes wide open, his jaw has been clenching all evening, he's raised his voice in annoyance and irritation.....

    He's a loose cannon.

He gives off such an arrogant, ugly, pompous vibe its unsettling.

If you are watching CNN on HD and you're seeing the debate watchers being tracked in Ohio....................very rarely has Obama been dropped into negative territory......McCain has been all over the place.

McCain's body language is UNBELIEVEABLE. He cannot keep eye contact.

Holy mother of God.  He's losing it.
